Terms & Cancellation

1. Booking & Deposit

All bookings require a 30% deposit to secure your dates. This deposit is payable at the time of booking and confirms your reservation. The remaining 70% balance is due 30 days before your arrival date.

2. 4x4 Vehicle Requirement

Villa Tartaruga is accessed via soft sand dunes. A 4x4 vehicle is essential. By booking, you confirm you will arrive in a suitable vehicle. We cannot offer refunds if access is not possible due to a non-4x4 vehicle.

3. Check-in & Check-out

Check-in is from 14:00. Check-out is by 10:00. Earlier check-in or later check-out may be possible by arrangement.

4. Cancellation Policy

• 60+ days before arrival: Full refund of deposit less a R500 admin fee
• 30–59 days before arrival: 50% of deposit refunded
• Under 30 days before arrival: No refund

Cancellations must be made in writing to info@villatartaruga.co.za.

5. Maximum Occupancy

The villa sleeps a maximum of 8 guests. Exceeding this may result in additional charges or termination of the stay.

6. Damage & Breakages

Guests are liable for any damage to the property beyond fair wear and tear. We reserve the right to charge for repairs or replacements after departure.

7. House Rules

• No smoking inside the villa
• No parties or events without prior approval
• Quiet hours between 22:00 and 07:00
• Pets by prior arrangement only

8. Liability

Villa Tartaruga is not liable for loss, injury, or damage to guests' property during their stay, except where required by law.

9. Force Majeure

We are not liable for cancellations caused by events outside our control (weather, civil unrest, travel restrictions). In such cases, we will offer alternative dates or a credit where possible.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by South African law.
